NYC Half to End Hunting: It's not a sport

On March 16th I'll be taking on the NYC half marathon to raise funds for animals commonly hunted for sport.

🐺Animals are not "trophies." They are indviduals with their own thoughts and feelings. Especially for animals like wolves, who mate for life and live in close-knit family units, hunting can devastate entire communities. Additionally, hunting disrupts migration and hibernation patterns.

🦌Hunters agrue that they help "manage" wildlife, but in reality hunting creates conditions that favor accelerated reproduction: The abrupt population decline that it causes leads to less competition for food among survivors, and ultimately, a higher birth rate, thus leading once more to the very problems that hunters claim to solve.

🦊For this race, I want to rasie awarenes for all animals who are hunted.

Running is a real sport; hunting isn't.
